I began learning about clay in the 80's by taking classes at VC and SBCC,
as well as workshops with various clay artists.
In 2000 I began teaching high school ceramics at a small private school
and continued until I retired in 2021. That is where I fell in love with
teaching both high school students and adults.
While I love to create with clay, an ever-changing process with something
always new to learn, my true passion is teaching. There is nothing more
fulfilling than watching someone successfully throw his or her first pot
and develop a passion for working with clay. I continue to teach adults,
beginning and intermediate throwing at the Vita Art Center.
You can purchase my work at the Ventura Pottery Gallery in
